Two students killed after coming under wheels of bus

Two engineering students were killed on the spot when they lost control of their two-wheeler, hit another motorcycle, and came under the wheels of a KSRTC bus on Friday night in Ramanagaram.

The two bikers on the other two-wheeler were injured. The police claimed that the students were wheeling, which resulted in them losing control.

The deceased have been identified as Abhinav R. Ravindran (21) from Kerala and Navjoth Sahu (21) from Odisha. Both were studying in Brindavan College of Engineering, Yelahanka. They were returning from a fishing camp in Bhim Sagar.

The police said that while reaching Kumbapura gate on the outskirts of Ramanagaram, the boys lost control and rammed another two-wheeler that was travelling in the same direction.

Rams median

Both the bikes the rammed into a median and the four of them on the bikes fell onto the road. Ravindran and Sahu, however, fell on the opposite side of the road and came under the wheels of the bus.

The injured bikers have been identified as Thimmaiah and Madaiah, linemen in KPTCL.
