From the makers of the famous ‘Paani Kum Chai’ of Fraser Town, Mezban Fast Tea on Modi Road has built a reputation of its own in the area over the past two decades.

The ‘dum cha’, as they refer to it here, may not possess the immaculate flavour of a Darjeeling or Assam tea, but definitely packs a punch. The process of making the tea here involves brewing the leaves for about an hour and topping off the decoction with sweetened milk. Priced at a modest Rs. 3 for half a cup , the proprietor, Riyaz Khan, claims that his is the cheapest cup of tea available in the area.

Selling over 3,000 cups of tea a day, this place definitely has the vote of the masses.
