Chief Minister Siddaramaiah lost his cool when Bharatiya Janata Party member C.T. Ravi drew his attention to media reports accusing him of trying to protect his close aide, who had allegedly obstructed Mysuru Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha from discharging her duties.
“How can you say that? You are a senior member of the House. You should know what to speak,” the Chief Minister told Mr. Ravi.
It may be noted that Ms. Shikha has lodged a complaint against former Mysuru Zilla Panchayat president Mari Gowda, who is said to be a close associate of Mr. Siddaramaiah, for allegedly interfering in her official work.

“Mr. Mari Gowda is not my close aide. He is just a Congress member. A case has been registered against him by the police and investigation is on. Let the law take its own course,” the Chief Minister said.
