Not helpful at all
Having gone to an institute on the outskirts for an exhibition, this reporter was dismayed on being told by a person manning the help centre that no such event was taking place there. When asked if any kind of exhibition was happening at all, he gave directions to an open hall where the aforesaid programme on in full swing. Post the event, we had a small request to the organisers: to keep the reception counter in the loop on happenings in the campus.

The legend of renowned horticulturist M.H. Marigowda clearly continues to thrive. A few officials of the Horticulture Department were overheard likening him to violinist P. Chowdaiah. Apart from both belonging to T. Narsipura taluk in Mysuru district, both were clear about wanting to work in their own country. Marigowda, despite having spent several years in England and Holland, returned to India to apply all the knowledge he had accumulated abroad.
