Extending its security cover, CISF today deployed its personnel at the Infosys campus at Pune.

With this deployment, Central Industrial Security Force will now extend the security cover being provided to Infosys, covering Infosys’ largest facilities in Mysore, Pune and the company’s headquarters in Bangalore, an Infosys release said.

P Phalnikar, Inspector General, CISF was the Chief Guest at a function held to mark the commencement of the CISF deployment at the Infosys Pune campus.

Our experience at the Infosys Bangalore and Mysore campuses has been very positive,” Mr. Phalnikar said.

Welcoming the CISF personnel, Ramadas Kamath, Senior Vice President, Administration, Commercial Facilities, Infrastructure and Security, Infosys Technologies, said Infosys was committed to protecting its employees, premises and honouring client commitments.

The programme included the hoisting of the CISF flag by Mr. Phalnikar, followed by the ceremonial Guard of Honour by CISF, inauguration and unveiling of the plaque at the Security Command Centre and the official handing over of the ‘security key’ by Infosys to CISF. The dignitaries then flagged off the quick response time (QRT) vehicles and patrol motorbikes.

Also present were Y.N. Sharma, DIG, CISF, and Mritunjay Singh, Development Centre Head, Infosys Pune.

Infosys was the first corporate organisation in India to be provided security cover by this elite security force in July 2009, with CISF deployment at Infosys Headquarters in Electronic City, Bangalore. This relationship was extended in March 2010 when Infosys’ largest campus at Mysore received CISF security cover.
