A portion of the Kempegowda Road caved in on Tuesday morning near the underground section of Namma Metro which passes under the area. No one was injured.
According to Bangalore Metro Rail officials, the cave-in was the result of a sinkhole which formed at the spot and which would have to be filled up with certain procedures.
“We will first have to fill the hole with sand and compact it before it can be filled with concrete. It will be done today,” a BMRCL spokesperson said.
