The first-ever India-Palestine theatre collaboration, Freedom Jatha, will be in Bengaluru for a performance on Wednesday. There are more shows on Sankranti Day. The Freedom Theatre (TFT) from Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, which has worked with Jana Natya Manch (Janam) for a joint theatrical production, is arriving in the city as part of a 11-city India tour. The performance on Wednesday is at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath at 5 p.m.
The programme, besides staging of Hamesha Samida , a joint production of TFT and Janam, will have rendering of Kabir dohas by Bindu Malini and puppetry show by Anurupa Roy. Faisal Abu Alhaja, artistic leader of TFT, and Sudhanva Deshpande, leader of Janam, New Delhi, will be at the festival. Among other guests is film-maker M.S. Satyu.Shows have also been planned on January 15. There is a show at Ranga Shankara at 11 a.m. and one at Alumni Association of Peenya Industrial Area at 5.30 p.m.
