Lokayukta police on Thursday morning conducted simultaneous search operations at residences and offices of three BBMP engineering staff along with the house of an employee of a private firm Vrushabhadri Constructions. The raids on Thursday were conducted in connection with the earlier Lokayukta raid at a house in Vyalikaval linked to RR Nagar MLA Muniratna where cops seized over 800 BBMP files. Muniratna and Ideyavendan were named as accused in the case.

Thursday's raids come in the wake of recent High Court direction to Lokayukta police to complete probe in all pending cases.

The BBMP officials who were under the radar today include two executive engineers - Kempegowda, a resident of HBR layout, and Malatesh, a resident of Kodigehalli apart from I.K Vishwas, an assistant engineer, a resident of Basavanagudi. The three officers are suspected to be involved in the fake bill scam. Cops also raided the house of Jayaram, an employee of Vrushabhadri constructions, the private firm said to have been the biggest beneficiary and running the show at the Vyalikaval house.
