Following the murder of film and TV actor Hemashree (33) last week, the police have traced the pharmacist who sold the chloroform to the prime suspect, her husband Surendra Babu (52). The pharmacist, reportedly located in Balepet, has made a statement to the police.

Overdose of chloroform is suspected to have caused the actor’s death though the forensic report is awaited.

The couple’s car driver Satish, a key witness, is still to be traced.

Hemashree was brought dead to Baptist Hospital last Tuesday by Mr. Babu who claimed she had collapsed after convulsions while they were driving to Anantpur. The hospital told the police death had occurred several hours before.
