BMTC bags 'Transport Minister's Trophy'

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) on Friday received the “Transport Minister’s Trophy” and a cash award of Rs.1.5 lakh during the culmination day of Road Safety week observed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India at New Delhi.

The award was received by BMTC Managing Director Syed Zameer Pasha Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Kamalnath. BMTC was selected for the award among State Transport Undertakings for the lowest accident record in the Urban category.

This has been the second award BMTC receiving on safety within a fortnight, the first being the one instituted by the Institution of Engineers, New Delhi Chapter.
