Thirty-one students studying from Class 8 to 12 bagged prizes at the State-level quiz competition on financial literacy organised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bangalore office, on the occasion of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Students said the competition — held in both Kannada and English — had created awareness among them about current account, savings account, fixed deposit, pass book and so on.

Aditya H.N. and Harish M.C., Class 9 students of the Government High School, Holekoppa, Sringeri, Chikmagalur district, said they prepared for the competition in Kannada for the last two months and bagged the first prize in the school category (classes 8 to 9). Prajwal Kashyap and K.S. Shivaram of St. Joseph's High School, Hassan, aced the English medium category.
