Yerukumamba temple is the popular landmark in Dondaparthy. The devout throng the temple to offer pots of turmeric water to the village goddess as they believe that the age-old ritual helps in fulfilling their wishes.

Though Dondaparthy has evolved over the years in terms of urbanisation, it still exudes an old world charm.

To entertain the art lovers of the colony, the Bala Tripura Sundari Samajam had been in place since 1906. Apart from taking up community services, its members come together to promote drama during festivities.

Those living in Kummari Veedhi strive hard to make both ends .

However, their cry for help has often been neglected. “We are facing several health problems due to Yerri gedda that abuts our lane. Officials should consider steps to put an end to this problem as we have to constantly put up with the foul smell that emanates from the storm water drain, apart from mosquito menace,” says Lakshmi, a resident.
