A workshop on waste management and sustainability was held at Vignan Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) by the Green Technology Club of the college in association with the Green Face Environmental Society on Saturday.

The college is aiming to achieve near zero waste generation on its Duvvada campus by careful waste management techniques such as waste reduction at source, segregation, compost of wet-waste and recycling of dry-waste.

The Centre for Innovation of the college is planning to train students to adapt to eco-friendly lifestyles and effective waste management techniques to promote them as a role model in society who can influence their own homes as well as friends and surroundings.
