VUDA moves against unauthorised layouts

After several reviews with Vice-Chairman T. Baburao Naidu, VUDA officials have identified 100 unauthorised layouts.

After a detailed meeting on February 27, the Vice-Chairman had instructed officials to act against such layouts from Tuni in East Godavari district to Narsannapeta in Srikakuklam district.

Mr. Baburao Naidu has asked officials to take action against all the unauthorised layouts in the next eight days.

Five teams comprising officials of Planning Department have been constituted for the purpose and deal with the 10 zones.

Accordingly, action has been taken against the following layouts:

Layouts on 86 acres in Survey Numbers 8, 86, 90, 76/p, 77/p, 78/p, 79/p, 67, 63, 249, 250, 254, 63/p, 64, 65, 255, 39, 40 to 45 and 275 at Pedagadi in Pendurti mandal; layout on 12.45 acres at Dharmapuri in Vizianagaram district; layout on 10 acres in Survey Nos.165, 166, 68/p, 69/p and 70/p at Patrunivalasa in Srikakulam district; on 9.27 acres in Survey Nos. 496, 497, 51/2 and 207 at Achyutapuram; layout in Survey Nos 216, 213, 81/p on six acres at Thotapalli in Achyutapuram mandal and on 35 acres in Survey Nos. 174, 178 and 137 in 35 acres at Golagam in Anakapalle mandal.

Some works done on the unauthorised layouts were removed under the supervision of Chief Urban Planner R J Vidyullatha.
