The VUDA on Monday took up a drive on issues relating to registration of the plots and houses it auctioned or sold.
Of the total of 5,448 houses constructed by VUDA, still 629 remain to be registered and for 173 payment has been made in full. For plots, 173 received full payment and for 47 payment has to be made.
Mr. Sasidhar told reporters that among one of the grievances received was, registration not being done after full payment and also those who have part-payment and were not aware of further dues to be paid to facilitate registration.

To tackle the issue directly and provide transparent services, the drive was taken up. If necessary, it would be conducted again and those who did not turn up would be informed, he said.
The registration would be taken up and the necessary documents issued to pave way for it on payment of dues with late fee. However, for some involved in court cases registration could not be taken up, he clarified.
About 100 applicants had turned up and 30 got their properties registered during the day. Stating that VUDA had decided to focus on infrastructure development in view of the number of players in the housing sector, he said the urban development authority would have to take up either pilot projects or a very big venture like a satellite town ship for which a large extent of land was required.

VUDA was also aware of the lack of space for holding big exhibitions in the city.
