Vizag boy makes it big

Out of 40 finalists who made their way to the Horlicks Wizkids South Asian Finals 2013, Krishna Prakash (Class IX) of Visakha Valley School was one of the top five winners.

The five-day final contest, held in Bangalore, drew wiz kids from five South Asian countries. Besides reviewing the individual skills, the finalists were evaluated on the basis of their teamwork and projects presented on social welfare.

The other four winners were K. Namitha of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School, Hyderabad; Naina Dargan of ASN Senior Secondary School, New Delhi; Arindum Nayak of Mother's Public School, Bhubaneshwar and Mansi Chandna of Maharani Gayatri Devi Girl's School, Jaipur. Other than winning a scholarship award of Rs.1 lakh each, they will also be part of a five-day educational trip to Germany.
