Udipi seer visits temple in city

Pontiff of Sri Pejavara Matham of Sri Krishna Matham of Udipi, Sri Vishvesha Threetha Swami, along with junior pontiff Viswa Prasanna Threetha Swamy visited Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple in the city on Wednesday.

The two seers are in the city as part of a tour (Paryaya Sancharana).

The pontiff was brought to the temple from Lions Club, Ramnagar, in a specially decorated chariot. He was received at the temple by committee members and devotees with Poorna Kumbham, chanting of Vedic hymns and Sankeertanas.

Later, addressing the devotees Sri Vishvesha Threetha Swami said Sri Raghavendra Swamy would shower his blessings on those who worship him with devotion. He performed Uyala Pooja to the deity and blessed the devotees.

Members of the reception committee A. Raghavendra Rao, V. Chitti Pantulu, Ch. M. Prana Rao, M.V. Rajasekhar, temple manager K. Pavan Kumar Acharya and others were present.

On Thursday morning, the pontiff would perform Pavana Homam and Kalasabhishekam to Sri Raghavendra Swamy.
