A number of trains have been cancelled, some diverted and others rescheduled due to water logging on the railway track at certain locations in the Section between Palasa and Khurda Road due to torrential rains as a result of the low pressure over the Bay of Bengal.
The trains cancelled are: Train No. 18411 Bhubaneswar – Visakhapatnam and 18412 Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar inter-city express trains on October 25, 17479 Puri-Tirupati Express, leaving Puri (October 25), 58526 Visakhapatnam – Palasa Passenger train (October 25), 18496 Bhubaneswar – Rameswaram Express leaving Bhubaneswar (October 25), 22883 Puri – Yeswantpur Weekly Garibrath Express leaving Puri (October 25), 22817 Howrah – Mysore weekly Express leaving Howrah (October 25) and passing through Visakhapatnam on October 26, 02728 Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam special express train leaving Secunderabad on October 25, 02727 Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad special express train scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam (October 26), 18447 and 18437 Bhubaneswar – Jagdalpur / Bhawanipatna Express trains leaving Bhubaneswar (October 25), 18448 and 18438 Jagdalpur / Bhawanipatna – Bhubaneswar express trains (October 25), 12703 Howrah – Secunderabad Falaknuma Express to leave Howrah (October 26), 11020 Bhubaneswar – Mumbai-CST Konark Express leaving Bhubaneswar (October 25), 12839 Howrah – Chennai Central Mail leaving Howrah on October 25 and passing through Visakhapatnam on October 26 and 58301 Sambalpur – Koraput passenger on October 25, 58302 Koraput – Sambalpur passenger train on October 25
Some of the trains re-scheduled are: 12842 Chennai–Howrah Coromandel Express leaving Chennai on October 25 has been rescheduled to leave at Chennai Central at 20.20 p.m.(13 hours 35 minutes late start at Chennai Central station), 12703 Howrah – Secunderabad Faluknuma express scheduled at Howrah at 7.25 a.m. October 25 is rescheduled to leave Howrah at 3 p.m.(7 hours and 35 minutes late start), 17016 Secunderabad – Bhubaneswar‘Visakha’ Express scheduled at Secunderabad at 5 p.m. on October 25 is rescheduled to leave Secunderabad at 9 p.m. (4 hours late start), 22850 Secunderabad – Shalimar weekly superfast express scheduled at Secunderabad at 5.30 a.m. is rescheduled to leave at 4.50 p.m. on October 25 (11 hours and 20 minutes late start).
