Adapting to the online filing of waybills to reduce the wastage of time and for convenience was need of the hour, Deputy Commissioner of Sales Tax K. Nagendra said on Tuesday.

During an interactive session with traders and dealers organised here by Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (APCCIF), he said that manual filing of waybills should be the last option only when there was problem with regard to uploading or server breakdown.

He said that nowadays everything was being done online from filing of IT returns, auditing and refunds including registration of land documents. Some restrictions were laid to protect the system rather than harassing the traders. He said that feedback from the dealers was welcome to streamline the system.
