TDP lays siege to sub-station

Charging the Congress Government with going back on its promise of not increasing power tariff, the TDP on Monday took out a rally and laid siege to the sub-station at China Gantyada.

Hundreds of TDP workers participated in the rally that began at NTR statue and reached the sub-station via BC Road under the leadership of State organising secretary Kona Tata Rao.

Mr. Tata Rao said in the four years tariff was raised as many times and thousands of crores of burden imposed on people. The latest increase amounted to Rs.6,300 crore, he alleged.
