The 21 bore-wells sanctioned under “NTR Jalasiri” scheme for Peda Labudu, adopted by the Chief Minister, in the Agency area of the district should be readied, Collector Pravin Kumar has said.

The demand of villagers to run the motors with regular power and not solar energy should be taken up with EPDCL officials, he told officials concerned at a meeting on Friday.

Suitability of crops for maximum yield should be taken up with horticulture and micro irrigation project officials. For developments of panchayats under Mission Antyodaya 185 villages were being selected in the district and it should first be launched at Pedalabudu, the Collector said. Since Pedalabudu was declared as open defecation-free (ODF) village, awareness must be created among villages to use the toilets constructed. In case of complaints of not having toilet, officials concerned would be suspended, Mr. Pravin Kumar warned.
