Special puja to mark Navaratri

Bhabatarini Charitable Trust is gearing up to celebrate ‘Navaratri’ for 10 days at Kali Mata temple on the Beach Road, starting from Tuesday.

‘Koti kumkumarchana puja’ will be organised on the premises for all the 10 days. ‘Koti kumkum puja’, ‘Navavarna puja’ and ‘Chandi homam’ are some of the highlights of the festival which will be concluded on October 22. Announcing this at a conference, managing trustee of the trust Sudipta Banerjee said a number of devotees were expected to take part in the rituals.

Cultural programmes will he held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A dance troupe from Bhubaneswar, led by Jayanta Acharya, will treat the audience to Odissi dance on Durgashtami (October 20).

A total of nine Vedic pandits along with V. Bhaskara Sarma will perform annual rituals at the venue.
