Artisans and entrepreneurs from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Punjab, Kolkata, Himachal Pradesh, Benguluru, and Karachi have come together to exhibit a variety of wares that cater to the seasonal needs of the city shoppers. As part of the ongoing Parinaya – Vivah Collection exhibition-cum-sale being organised at Four Points by Sheraton hotel, 40 stalls display designer saris and blouses, soft-cotton kurtis, chiffon saris, Chanderi saris, trinkets, singing bowl crafted in seven metals and a range of accessories in vibrant hues. Among a host of designer clothes, laser-georgette saris, Pakistani suits, dress-material from Karachi and jute-silk saris appear to meet the summer requirement. Entrepreneurs who gathered at the fair share a different story.

“I don’t operate through any brand name as such because I work from home. The platform has not only provided me a chance to build a customer base for my designer saris but also understand the nuances of marketing,” says Tina Saraf, a city-based entrepreneur.

Those who like to experiment with a combination of fabrics, Pehchaan, a city-based store, has a range of light-weight saris. “If summer brings any cheer for the locals it is only through these exhibitions where we can spend quality time shopping with our friends. Moreover, you tend to get a variety of products at one stop,” says Maya, a shopper at the exhibition. The three-day exhibition will be open on Friday at the venue from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
