With 10 classrooms at Dwaraka block for primary wing and nine at Mathura block for high school section, Sri Krishna Vidya Mandir, Dwarakanagar, now houses a new building with six adequately-ventilated classrooms.

The new block -- Sri Grandhi Manoj Kumar Memorial Block --, constructed by Waltair Round Table – 92 (WRT) as part of its community service drive ‘Freedom through education’, was inaugurated on Sunday by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. What adds value to the project is that it has been built in memory of former tabler Grandhi Manoj Kumar of Vaibhav Jewellers who was killed in 2012 by a taxi driver and his associates. “Driven by enormous contributions made by late Grandhi Manoj Kumar for progress of various projects, a building has been named after a former tabler for the first time,” said G. Pavan Kumar, Round Table India (projects) convenor.

School Principal P. Jagannadha Rao said that the extended classrooms would cater to the growing demand for new admissions. Apart from Round Table India, Vaibhav Jewellers, Nyenrode New Business School and Shiksha contributed for the cause that amounted to Rs.30 lakh.
