A special prayer was held on Thursday to mourn the death of noted paediatrician Kolluru Santhi Swarup who passed away here recently.
Born on December 26, 1928, Dr. Santhi Swarup had served as honorary medical advisor for many private sector undertakings for over four and a half decades from 1959 besides serving as honorary professor of Andhra Medical College.
Dr. Santhi Swarup did his B. Sc from M.R. College Vizianagaram and MBBS and D.Ch from Andhra Medical College. He was the first full-time paediatrician in Visakhapatnam district. He was involved in various community services through Lions Club and Walkers Club. He is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter.
