Reaching out to hearing impaired

To make life easier for the hearing impaired children of The House of Mercy, one of the arms of Sumitra Mahila Society, Srikakulam, Oneness, a youth association, has come up with the concept of ‘Akarna Upakarya’ project, facilitating free hearing and speech therapy for 45 inmates. With a team of speech therapists from RIMS General Hospital, Srikakulam, sound proof cabins and equipment, the youngsters are all set to start their project, lasting three months from April 13.
