Pseudo swamijis

May 18, 2014 09:31 pm | Updated 09:31 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

It appears the pseudo swamijis attired in saffron robes are ruling the roost. They have turned materialistic and use gimmicks to solicit the patronage of people and make them part with huge sums of money.

Pensioners’ woes

Despite spending crores on the Port and Dock Labour Board Hospitals, the pensioners of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust face problems in getting proper medicare. Most pensioners are preferring treatment in corporate hospitals and they have to make multiple visits to get the papers processed. I request the authorities to introduce a health care scheme for pensioners to ensure better treatment.

Bus services

The lower income groups residing on the hillside of Durganagar have to walk down to the HB Colony double road to access the bus services, 69 and 20 that pass through. In view of the fact that there are a large number of residents in these habitations, it would be convenient for the elderly and womenfolk if the bus services are re-routed to provide them a better access to the service.
