Population Day competitions

Population Research Centre of Andhra University, in association with Sigma Research Consulting and Lions Club of VSP, Dwarakanagar is conducting essay writing and elocution competitions for degree and PG students at the School of Economics of AU on July 8 on the eve of World Population Day to be observed on July 11.

Topic for the competitions is: population of India-a bane of boon? Each college can send five students for each competition, Director of PRC of AU R. Ramakrishna said. Essay writing competition will be held for one hour from 10 a.m. and elocution contest (four minutes each for a contestant) from 10.30 a.m.

Prizes to the winners and participation certificates to the others will be distributed during the World Population Day celebrations to be held at School of Economics on July 11.

Interested can contact Dr. Ramakrishna at the PRC or over mobile 99491 76070 or zone chairperson of Lions Club Seetha Rama Raju P.V. (98494 07722) along with a letter from their respective institutions nominating them for the competition.
