A bronze statue of late D.V. Subba Rao, former Mayor and president of Andhra Cricket Association, should be installed on the premises of the ACA-VDCA stadium in the city, former convener of ACA-VDCA Stadium Committee and vice-president of VDC P.R. Narayanaswami said on Friday.
Recalling the matchless contribution made by Subba Rao on his 82nd birth anniversary, Mr. Narayanaswami said this would be a fitting tribute to a person who was instrumental in development of the city and the game of cricket as soon as he became the City Mayor in 1987.
