PECET: web counselling to begin

Web-based counselling for candidates who have qualified in the Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PECET)-2013 for admission into B.P.Ed. and U.G.D.P.Ed. will be held at helpline centres located in six universities in the State from September 21 to 24, Director of Physical Education of Andhra University M. Syam Babu informed.

The web-counselling will be held at University College of Science, Saifabad (Hyderabad); Kakatiya University, Warangal; Andhra University, Visakhapatnam; Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur; Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, and Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.

Limited number of candidates (in the ratio of five for a seat) has been called for the web-counselling in view of the limited number of seats available. All the required original documents along with a set of photo copies of the certificates have to be submitted at the time of web-counselling.

Verification and submission of original certificates for web-based counselling at help centres will be held from September 21 to 23; exercising options at the notified helpline centres is allowed from September 22 to 24, and provisional allotment letters will be issued on September 25, which can be downloaded from the websites http://apecet.org or http://apsche.ac.in.

The last date for admission into colleges and payment of tuition fee and special fee is September 30 on which day classes will also commence.

B.P.Ed. and U.G.D.P.Ed. courses are being offered by the SSR Govt. College of Physical Education, Gopannapalem; Kodi Ramamurthy College of P.E., Bobbili and Sanjeeva Reddy College of P.E., Penumantra while only B.P.Ed. is offered by the Venkata Surya College of P.E., Bobbili; D.R.K. Reddy College of P.E., Gollalamamidada and Nova College of P.E., Vegavaram (Jangareddygudem).
