A public meeting of Jana Sena founder and actor Pawan Kalyan is being planned in the city on March 27 or 29, some members of the party said here on Thursday.
It is likely to be on March 27 since public meetings are not allowed 48 hours before polling for municipalities in the district and the venue may be the Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium or the GVMC stadium in the old town, Karnamreddy Narasinga Rao, Raghava Rao, I. Venkatesh and others said at a press conference.
Mr. Narasinga Rao, founder of KNR Foundation and who has been conducting welfare programmes for the last 10 years, claimed that there were at least 10,000 people in the district who were ready to become party members and more than 2800 have already taken the membership.
Mr. Narasinga Rao and others who became active members of the party are organising the programme to help people to get enrolled as members of Jana Sena through its website. Programmes would be held at Gajuwaka on March 23 and in some other place in the city on March 26. A separate folder was created for those enrolling from Visakhapatnam district.
Registration could be done through facebook account with photograph by filling a registration form of the party office. Active membership card would appear on the screen with its number. A printout of the ID card can be taken. Registration could also be done through website of the party www.janasenaparty.org, he said.
