For easy identification of VUDA lands, Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj initiated an action plan to record documented ownership with full details. VUDA lands will be mapped collecting accurate data from the Revenue Department. Lands alienated to VUDA, acquired, pooled and purchased would be consolidated with relevant documents obtaining authentic information from tehsildars of the areas concerned. VUDA owns about 6,000 acres of land in its jurisdiction spread in rural and urban areas of Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts. VUDA developed layouts and housing schemes in most of the lands.
Village-wise maps
From 2006, government lands in Madhurawada, Endada, Rushikonda, Paradesipalem, Bheemili and other areas were handed over to VUDA for resource mobilisation under budgetary support to the State government.

Dr. Yuvaraj, on Thursday, saw the lands at Kapparada, Pedagantyada and Kurmannapalem. Since there were no proper records, he wanted the estate, engineering and land acquisition officials to obtain relevant orders from the Revenue Department for recording statutory ownership. Further, village-wise maps should be prepared. Dr. Yuvaraj, who visited the Panchavati Housing Project developed by VUDA at Akkireddypalem, complimented the owners’ welfare association for the successful maintenance of the gated community project with excellent landscaping and other amenities. President of the association Jagadeeswara Rao and vice-president Muralikrishna detailed the maintenance aspects. Later, the Vice-Chairman visited the ‘Seva Enclave’ housing scheme at Kurmannapalem. Chief Engineer I. Viswanatha Rao, Chief Urban Planner R.J. Vidyullata and estate officer B. Bhavani Das accompanied him.
