Mandal Surveyor in ACB trap

The Mandal Surveyor of Rolugunta mandal R. Satyanarayana was caught red-handed by officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at the Office of the Tahsildar of Rolugunta in the district on Wednesday.

The accused had demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.3,000 from a farmer of Kottapeta for issuing the land demarcation report. The surveyor had initially demanded Rs.5,000 but settled for Rs.3,000. The farmer had lodged a complaint with the ACB Officials.

ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police M. Narasimha Rao and his team laid a trap and arrested the accused and produced him in the ACB Court in the city.
