LIC officers seek restoration of grade increment

After observing a day-long protest on Saturday, the Federation of LIC Class-I Officers’ Associations has threatened to launch agitation if their demands are not conceded.

For the first time, the class-I officers sported black badges and took part in the protest in response to a call for observing protest day all over India. The demands include restoration of normal grade increment postponed for strike action on February 15, 2010 for arresting general secretary G. Gunasagar, delay in settlement of demands and the government decision to raise FDI ceiling in insurance sector.

LIC Class 1 Officers’ Association, Visakhapatnam president P. Mohana Rao, secretary K. Anil Babu and treasurer B.S.S. Sarma expressed shock at the attitude of the management in not restoring normal grade increment and sought its restoration immediately to prevent unrest in LIC.
