Industries vow to fight corruption

Rallies, meetings, administration of pledge among employees and holding of competitions marked the beginning of Vigilance Awareness Week by the industries in the district with a call to achieve a corruption-free work culture.

NTPC Simhadri administered pledge among employees with General Manager (O&M) M. Sivaramakrishna, GM (Maintenance) A. Maity and AGM (Vigilance) P.K. Diwanji read the message of Chief Vigilance Officer M.R.P. Rao.

NTPC is also conducting various competitions for schoolchildren of neighbouring areas, students of colleges besides employees on the importance of vigilance.

At a function organised by DCI, Principal Commissioner of Customs C. Rajendiran, Commissioner of Police Amit Garg, DCI Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Tripathi and Chief Vigilance Officer V.V.S..Sreenivas explained the need for a paradigm shift in the focus on fighting corruption.

HPCL Visakh Refinery on the first day of the week, HPCL Visakh Refinery Executive Director G. Sriganesh addressed the employees and explained the concept and objective of vigilance. He emphasised that every individual should execute their jobs in a transparent manner and be vigilant in order to achieve the organisational objectives.
