HPCL has earmarked Rs.3 crore for taking up Hudhud rehabilitation project in association with the State government.
In a press release, the company said they had taken up several programmes under corporate social responsibility. The employees of the company contributed Rs.1.9 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund immediately after Hudhud.
“The next two to three years will see this Navratna PSU invest the collective efforts of its people in a mega Rs. 3-crore joint rehabilitation project in collaboration with the State government. The Chief Minister’s Office is currently in the process of identifying the activities to be undertaken as part of the programme, which will see the transformation of the most-affected areas into the progressive, vibrant regions they were before October 2014,” the release stated.

In the past three years, HPCL transformed the face of Andhra Pradesh with special focus on Visakhapatnam, with five long-term projects.
