House burgled

Unidentified persons broke into a house located behind Erukumamba temple at T.S.N. Raju Colony under the Fourth Town police station limits, in the wee hours of Friday, and decamped with about Rs. 10 lakh and 1.5 tolas of gold ornaments.

According to the police, the house belongs to Pratip Reddy, and the entire family had gone for a marriage function at Gajuwaka.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) S. Varada Raju said that the family staying in a group house had locked the doors at about 7.30 p.m. and left for the marriage.

When they returned in the morning, they found the front door lock and the cupboard broken and the ornaments and the cash missing.

Fourth Town police inspector Laxman Rao is investigating the case.
