Hindi Academy book presented to President

Chairman of the AP Hindi Academy Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad presenting a copy of Andhronka Samajik Jeevan, a Hindi translation of Andhrula Sanghika Charitra, authored by Suravaram Pratap Reddy, to President Pratibha Patil in New Delhi on Monday.

A copy of Andhronka Samjik Jeevan, the Hindi translation of social historian Suravaram Pratap Reddy's Andhrula Sanghika Charitra, brought out by the AP Hindi Academy was presented to President Pratibha Patil in New Delhi on Monday.

Chairman of the Academy Y.Lakshmi Prasad presented the book to Ms. Pratibha Patil in the presence of former MP Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Pratap Reddy's son Krishnavardhan Reddy, grandson Anil Kumar Reddy, CPI secretary D. Raja, MPs K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao and K.S. Rao.

Andhrula Sanghika Charitra had already received Central Sahitya Academy award and prescribed as part of syllabus for the Civil Services examination. The President, who received the book on her birthday, said it was one of the best books on history and appreciated Dr. Lakshmi Prasad for bringing out the book which explained the Telugu culture and social life to the Hindi-speaking people.
