The seventh regional abacus competitions organised by Brainobrain Kids Academy Private Ltd., received an enthusiastic response from children in the age group of 5 to 14 years. About 700 students accompanied by their parents and teachers thronged Swarna Bharathi stadium on Sunday to participate in the brainstorming exercises which helped boost their intellectual skills and mental capabilities.
School children from several districts in Andhra Pradesh and students representing 40 local schools participated. Calculation methods using Chinese instrument folder abacus were used by the students for visualisation and lightening speed calculation. Children could solve 75 arithmetical problems in just three minutes using abacus.
Children efficiently handled the instrument folder for solving mathematical problems with precision and speed of a calculator.
