Four more youth arrested for ‘peddling drugs’ at rave party

1 gm cocaine, 9 gm MDMA powder, five LSD blots seized

The City Task Force (CTF) on Wednesday arrested four more youngsters, all in the age group of 26 to 29 years, in the case of alleged drug peddling at a beach rave party organised at a private hotel near Rushikonda on Saturday night.

Earlier, the City Task Force team which raided the rave party arrested Manukonda Satyanarayana (26) on charge of peddling psychedelic drugs LSD and MMDA at the party.

“The CTF team has recovered 1 gm of cocaine, 9 gm of MDMA powder, five LSD blots from the possession of the four accused, of whom three hail from the city and another from Vizianagaram. The four accused allegedly participated in the rave party and supplied drugs,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (CTF) Mahendra Mathe said.

The CTF is closely monitoring the movements of drug peddlers and abusers. Efforts are on to identify the other people involved in the case, he added.

‘Big names involved’

Meanwhile, sources said that there was a possibility of involvement of a few high profile names in the case.

The Arilova Police have booked the accused under Section 21 (a) of NDPS Act. The CTF is digging deeper into the case.
