Lawyers from various parts of Andhra Pradesh have decided to request the State government to expedite the process for bifurcation of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad and formation of new HC for AP.

Expressing their anguish at inordinate delay at a meeting of bar associations held here on Saturday, a resolution was adopted to formally request the State government.

“After State’s initiative, the Centre in consultation with the Chief Justice of India and all others concerned will pave the way for formation of a separate High Court for A.P,” Visakhapatnam Bar Association secretary M.S. Madhav said.
