Maharatna oil company NTPC has sought entries for the regional round of NTPC Electron Quiz-2017. The winners of the southern region round will get prizes worth ₹30,000.
The first runner-up team will get prizes worth ₹20,000 and second runner-up prizes worth ₹10,000. The 4th, 5th and 6th will receive consolation prizes amounting to ₹4,000 each. In addition special prizes and mementos or souvenirs will be given for the audience round. The regional round will be held at Tagore Auditorium, Osamania University in Hyderabad at 2.30 p.m. on August 5.
The contest is open to students from engineering colleges and business management schools and professional institutes across South India. Each college/institute can sponsor two teams for the regional event each comprising two members, a NTPC release issued here stated.

The subject areas are broadly from the world of corporate business, news events, general knowledge, films and entertainment and sports. Based on the performance in the qualifying rounds and elimination rounds six teams will take part in the regional level final competition on the same day.
Top three winners from the regional round will be selected for national level competition to be held on August 17 in New Delhi. Air travel expenses and boarding and lodging for the participating teams in the national level final will be provided by NTPC. The final winner will get ₹1 lakh.
