Eight Sankranti special trains to Visakhapatnam

South Central Railway will operate eight special trains between Secunderabad and Visakhatpatnam from January 10, 2015.

An SCR press release issued in Hyderabad said in order to clear extra rush of passengers during Sankranti festival, train no. 08503 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Sankranti Special will depart from Visakhapatnam at 07:05 p.m., on January 9 and arrive at Secunderabad at 07:50 a.m., the next day. The train would be operated from Visakhapatnam on January 16, 23 and 30.

Similarly, train no. 08504 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Sankranti special will leave Secunderabad at 10.10 p.m., on January 10 and reach Visakhapatnam at 10:35 a.m., the next day. The special would leave Secunderabad on January 17, 24 and 31.

Enroute, these weekly special trains will stop at Kazipet, Warangal, Vijayawada, Eluru,Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Annavaram, Tuni, Anakapalli and Duvvada stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 15 coaches viz, one AC II Tier, one AC III Tier, five Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
