Discom AE in ACB net

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday arrested G. Rama Rao, assistant engineer of APEPDCL, Ravikamatham mandal, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹10,000 from a complainant, on Tuesday.

The discom official allegedly demanded the bribe for laying LT line for a borewell in the farm of the complainant, who is a small farmer.

According to DSP ACB Kinjarapu Ramakrishna Prasad, the accused officer was caught while he was accepting the bribe through one Ch. Siva, who is working as a daily wage labourer with a contractor of APEPDCL.

The amount was recovered from the pocket of Siva. Both have been arrested and will be sent to ACB court on Wednesday.
