Dasara fete at Kanakamahalakshmi temple

Sarannavaratri celebrations will be organised at Sri Kanakamahalaskhmi temple in old city from Wednesday on a grand scale. According to executive officer of the temple Bhramaramba, special pujas and abhishekam will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the first three days. Swarnapushpa puja on Wednesday, Laddu puja on Thursday and Ksheerabhishekam on Friday would be held. Special alankaram would be organised from October 1 to 6. “On Oct. 1, Sakambari alankaram to the main deity, Laksha Kumkumarchana on Oct. 2, Pushpayagam on Oct. 3 will be conducted. This will be followed by Laksha Tulasi archana on Oct. 4, Laksha Chemanti puja on Oct. 5 and Swarnabharana Alankaram on Oct. 6,” she stated.

The alankaram would be kept for darshan till 5 p.m., daily, she added.
