As part of Visakha Utsav, a grand Rangoli competition and a Kite Festival will be organised in association with the Rotary Clubs, Visakhapatnam.
The Rangoli event would be organised at Andhra University Gymnasium Grounds, near AU Out Gate from 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
The competition would be in three categories: women below and above 18 years and an exclusive category for men.

Participants should bring the material required for making Rangoli. Students of schools, colleges and universities may also participate.
First, second and third and consolation prize would be given in each category after the competition. All participants would get participation certificates.

Kite Festival
To involve youth in large numbers, the Kite Festival will be organised from 3 p.m. at Ramakrishna Beach on Thursday. Rotary Clubs of Visakhapatnam would provide kites and string to all participants free of cost. Participants can also bring kites of their own choice. Other clubs, societies and groups were also invited to participate in the kite festival.
A Boxing Championship would be organised from 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the parking area opposite YMCA on RK beach.
The Laser Show scheduled as a major attraction in Visakha Utsav would be held from 6 p.m. atop Kailasagiri on Thursday.
