Ananth Mani Muni to be trained in Bengaluru for three years

City-based tennis player Ananth Mani Muni has been selected for undergoing training at the Zeeshan Ali Tennis Academy in Bengaluru for three years.

The 14-year-old Ananth Mani Muni, is a Class-IX student of Sree Krishna Grammar School.

He is among the 11 tennis players who have been selected from Andhra Pradesh for the residential coaching camp under 14-years age group boy’s category.

The boy has clinched many medals in inter-district and inter-state tennis tournaments.

The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) authorities have conducted an extensive selection camp in Visakhapatnam for junior players for the admission into the Indian Davis Cup coach Zeeshan Ali’s Tennis Academy in Bengaluru, in February this year.

Sports policy

District Sports Development Officer (DSDO), Visakhapatnam, June Gallyot said that the extensive coaching programme was a part of the State Government’s mission-based programme to develop A.P. in all areas which includes the Sports Policy 2017-22 envisioned by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
