Youth in the city have a new role model to look up to with city girl Sobhita Dhulipala winning the runners-up crown at the 50 Miss India Contest held in Mumbai on Sunday.
Twitter and Facebook came alive with wishes pouring in for the 20-year-old who did her schooling at Visakha Valley School.
By winning the title Sobhita has managed to show the world that girls from the city have the perfect combination of beauty as well as intelligence and can be perfect brand ambassadors of the new-age woman in the country.

Sobhita handled jury member actor Asin’s question about whether there should be a dress code for college students with ease. She opined that imposing a dress code cannot make up for the lack of safety. She even quoted Marilyn Monroe about having no regrets in life to a question posed to her if she would have any regrets if the world ended the next day.
She also won an award for being a Digital Diva at the contest which was a popular vote. She will represent India in the upcoming Miss Earth 2013 beauty pageant later this year. Vizagites will surely make up the largest cheering contingent when that event takes place.
Sobhita says, her parents have been tremendously supportive and encouraged her to believe in her choices and in herself. She feels blessed and very lucky to have such wonderful people who love her. “The curiosity to learn and determination to keep improving has brought me here today. - I cannot put in words how happy I am to have my hometown be etched in the books of history because of me,” she said.

“Life is a one time ride and do not waste it away doing things you don't enjoy. Live every moment like it is a celebration of sorts. Dream big and nourish them with courage, determination and passion,” was her message to the youth.
