Children’s fest from Dec. 12

In an attempt to encourage children to show case their talent, a three-day festival will be organised by Sri Rama Charitable Trust in L. Kota mandal of Vizianagaram district from December 12, trust secretary K. Madhuravaani said.

Several competitions will be organised as part of the event and schoolchildren from Visakhapatnam, Viziangaram and Srikakulam districts can participate in it. The competition will be in Telugu poems, folk dances, drawing and painting and other activities. A poster for the festival was released by Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao.The participants would be divided into three categories—sub juniors (nursery to class III), juniors (class IV to VII) and seniors (class VIII to X).

There is no entry fee. Breakfast, lunch and dinner would be provided to all the participants. Prizes would be distributed to the winners on the final day.
