Chief Minister should forward Dharmana’s resignation: TDP

With Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan making it clear that the ball is not in his court, regarding the resignation submitted by R and B Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao after he was listed by CBI as an accused in the Vanpic land allotment case, it is time for Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to accept the resignation, Telugu Desam MLA and spokesman Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu here on Sunday.

“It is the prerogative of the Chief Minister to pick up a man for his Cabinet, remove him, change his or her portfolio or seek resignation. But Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is not taking any decision on Mr. Prasada Rao.

If he (Prasada Rao) has to go other tainted Ministers too will lose their job”, Mr. Muddukrishnama Naidu said at a press conference.

The Ministers have no right to continue in the Cabinet and the Chief Minister must make all of them resign, revamp the Cabinet and take in fresh faces, the TDP leader demanded.

The State Government must resign as it failed in all fronts as it was not able to start admissions into the engineering colleges; failed to provide adequate power to the people and there is power cut all through the year; health scenario was deteriorating as infants were dying in the hospitals; agriculture was in doldrums and water crisis continued, he said.

“This is the worst-ever government in the State and has no right to continue. No where in the world a State has witnessed several politicians, rich people and top officials going to jail. Hyderabad was the destination for all when Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was Chief Minister but now investors are scared to coming to the State as they might get involved in scams and get jailed”, the TPD leader said.

He also blamed the Chief Minister and his Ministers and the Congress MPs for failing to get the State’s due from the Centre in power allocation and other matters.

Mr. Mukddukrishnama Naidu alleged that UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi was responsible for corruption taking roots in the country and termed her as queen of corruption.

The latest coal mines allocation was one of the scams each of which ran into lakhs of crores of rupees, he said.

MLA B. Gopalakrishna Reddy said a time would come when all the Central and State Ministers would go to jail. Every must strive to protect democracy and remove corruption, he said.
